Honor 10 gets an update on Android 9 Pie
At the beginning of the year, Honor equips the flagship from 2018 with Android 9 Pie. The Honor 10 is currently receiving the new, large version of Android as an OTA update, and that should urgently be downloaded in a fast WLAN: the package is almost 4 GB in size.
In addition to the security patch from December and the new Android 9 Pie, the update also includes the new Huawei interface EMUI 9. It comes with a whole series of simplifications and new features. Especially the name “EMUI” should not be seen on Honor for a long time, because the new surface Magic UI is approaching. It starts on the Honor View 20 but will be delivered in the future on older Honor smartphones.

Honor 10: Software update brings new features
Honor continues to provide his current flagship with Android updates. The current firmware, which is currently distributed as an OTA update, is 569 MB in size – the download in a fast WLAN is therefore recommended. The package includes a new feature for apps. The drawer mode of top apps has now got another feature that allows you to recommend apps that you like most.
The second important change from the update is the security patch level. This is now at the level of June 2018 and thus – although July has already started – up to date.
In addition, there are further optimizations concerning the display of texts on the surface of the Honor 10. They were not always easy to read and position, which has now been fixed.
Not yet included in the update is the GPU Turbo, which should increase the performance of the smartphone and even reduce its energy consumption. However, this update will be delivered in July – we’ll keep you up to date.
